There’s quite the “racquet” going on!

The Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club has an active tennis program for all ages and levels of play. During the playing season, which is most of the year, there are numerous programs available for all ages and levels of play. Anyone interested in setting up practice or play is encouraged to speak with the Club Office or Tennis Committee Chair, Lara Stevenson.

Courts

The Club is pleased to have two HAR-TRU (clay) courts that are playable all year, weather permitting. 

Reservations

We encourage tennis players to call the Pro Shop at 757-787-4519 to reserve a court for play. Our Premium, Full and Social Members enjoy unlimited play. Their guests and Associate Members are welcome to play up to eight times per year for a minimal fee of $10 for each play date.

Competitive Tennis

Monday evening match play sessions are scheduled from spring through the fall. Please contact the Club to learn more about joining the regular or playing as a substitute. 

Social Tennis

Thursday Social Tennis is a weekly fun event for all levels of player. Beginning at 4:00 pm, there is a random, round robin format in which players draw numbers and rotate according to a fixed draw. 

This year’s format will differ from previous years’ drop-in tennis. Players are required to sign up in advance and the number of players will be capped at a maximum of 12. No matter what level you play, this format will offer a fun, social way to get involved in tennis. So come out and give it a try!

Pickle Ball

There’s a new kid in town!

Thanks to the generous donations of our members, ESYCC now has two beautiful new pickle ball courts. This new addition to the club has been highly anticipated and we expect the courts to get a good amount of play. Please reserve your court at the Pro Shop by stopping by or by calling 757.787.4519. 

As with tennis, Pickle Ball court use is included in the Premium, Full and Social Membership. Their guests and Associate Members are welcome to play up to eight times per year for a fee of $10 per day.
